Unity week

During Autumn 1 2017, we had a special theme week at school - Unity Week.

Each class explored the meaning of unity in different ways, to understand how important unity is for creating a happy and caring community at our school.

A wide range of learning and activities took place. As October is also Black History Month, some classes studied the accomplishments of black artists, mathematicians, scientist and writers. Other classes learned more about each other by creating memory postcards or writing about their classmates.

All children developed their teamwork skills and demonstrated respect of others. You can see some  examples of our learning in a vibrant display on the Key Stage One stairs.
