Phonics
In Reception children learn phonics. Phonics lessons teach children the sounds that letters make. This video from Oxford Owl demonstrates how to pronounce the letter sounds.
Reading
In Reception children are taught to read. This video shows you how to support your child with their reading at home.
Lunch Time
Children in Nursery and Reception have a family style lunch, eating together in the Reception classrooms.
Children help themselves, and pass food to their friends.
Children become increasingly independent, they even wipe up the odd water spillage!
We are so proud of how responsible children are in Early Years.
